Join The Polehampton Charity and make a real difference locally

Are you interested in becoming a Trustee for this village charity that has been supporting the communities of Twyford, Ruscombe and Charvil for over 300 years?

Becoming a Trustee is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference in the community. You'll be collaborating with like-minded individuals to meet the needs of local disadvantaged people, and boost and enhance local life.

What does being a Trustee involve?

  • Act as an ambassador for The Polehampton Charity and the support it can provide in Twyford, Ruscombe, Charvil and the wider community.

  • Promote the development of the Charity’s strategy and long-term goals while considering the needs of any and all beneficiaries.

  • Attend and actively participate in the quarterly trustee meetings.

  • Contribute to decision-making and policy setting.

  • Represent the Charity at selected local events.

 

What skills should a Trustee have?

  • Good contacts within the local area to help identify areas of need.

  • Involvement in the local community support structure.

  • Keen interest in supporting the local community and a commitment to the Charity’s aims.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

  • No specific fundraising or financial contribution is required.

  • Sense of responsibility for the Charity’s future and its standing in the local community is essential.
