School/PTA Grants

Only schools, PTAs and associated groups based in Twyford, Ruscombe and Charvil in Berkshire can apply. We encourage all schools/PTAs to refer individuals and families needing financial help to The Polehampton Charity.

School/PTA applications should be made at least two weeks before a Trustee Board meeting. These are held on the second Tuesday in March, June, September and December.

All applications are completely confidential.

A condition of accepting any grant from The Polehampton Charity is that your school/PTA must provide feedback to the trustees and acknowledge the grant publicly once the funds have been received.

Check the Grant Giving Policy on how The Polehampton Charity awards grants including details on criteria and exclusions.

What can you apply for?

Schools and PTAs can apply for items that will benefit all pupils in the school, and potentially the wider community.

The trustees will consider, and have previously awarded grants, for:

  • Pre-school/nursery play equipment

  • Retractable seating in a school hall

  • Picnic benches in a playground

The trustees will not consider applications from schools or PTAs for general teaching aids, stationery, staff training or subscriptions.

After a grant has been received

We expect all school and PTA applicants to provide feedback about the benefits and the difference the grant made to them.
